Nevolution 6.5.1

Nevolution is an open platform for Android designed to enhance the notification experience of existing apps in a unique way through community-driven plug-ins, offering an alternative approach independent of the original app developer.

Android provides extensive capabilities for notification experiences, with features continuously improving in each major Android update. However, many apps only scratch the surface of these capabilities, resulting in notifications that may seem out of place or outdated on modern Android devices.

Users of Android Wear smartwatches or Android Auto-enabled vehicles may find it frustrating that many favorite apps do not integrate seamlessly with these technologies.

Nevolution aims to guide developers in creating more sophisticated user experiences with the collaborative input of the Nevolution community.

Limitations:

• Notification sounds and vibrations may be prematurely interrupted. A resolution is currently in progress.
• Prior to Android 6.0, due to platform restrictions, certain notifications may lose their status bar icon if evolved.
• Evolved notifications are not automatically cleared by the original app (e.g., when it is opened). A potential solution is under review.

Built-in plug-ins:

• Multi-line Text: Expands truncated text into multiple lines for improved readability.
• Stack: Groups recent messages into a stacked list for easy navigation.
• "No Sticky": Conceals sticky notifications (Android 8+).
• Call Vibrator: Provides vibration feedback when an outgoing call is answered.
• WeChat: Offers a peek into recent messages within expanded conversation notifications.
